Remember this shelf/table from my last post??
Click below for the AFTER as I promised in that post.
After two coats of my homemade turquoise chalk paint, the piece is sanded.
Then antiqued with Minwax Special Walnut.
Hardware is reattached.
There were no clips to hold the shelf up.......soooo, using my rose pruner.............I clipped off 4 pieces from a dowel pin, painted them turquoise, and WA LA.
I know, I know, I'm kinda stuck on turquoise, but I promise I'll do something different soon.

Adorable! And that's using your head! I would have never thought to grab my pruners to snip dowels lol! I love the turquoise too.

DeleteI have found every piece I have painted in Turquuoise...has sold...and three other vendors in our antique mall store has sold everyone of their pieces...and one vendor who is a White and Creamy lovers...has fallin for turg too...and she has done some very creative pieces for accessory's ...Shelves and Picture Frames have done well in turq...anything yu see on my blog painted in Turq as sold...So now I am considering a small headboard...and paint in a turq tone...and Do I turn the headboard into a combo shelve,blackboard and hook so keys along the bottom,Or do I Do it as a headboard that will attached directly to the wall,and bed can be then pushed up against hmmmmm,your ideas...and the Table sold today,or I should say layaway...for 285.00 I went up a little..

DeleteI also like the turquoise. I got a can of oops turquoise that I've wanted to use but wasn't sure what to use to antique it. It just so happens I have the same min-wax in my cupboard in the shop. Thanks!

Love the color and love both pieces but the one on the right is my favorite! Glad I found your page! I will have to look at your previous posts as soon as I have time! I am resetting one of my three booths today at Heritage Square Antique Mall but will need a break tomorrow!
